
Palak is a Project Research Scientist–II at the Cognitive Neurology Lab, NIMHANS. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Fergusson College, Pune, and a Master’s degree in Cognitive Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar.
She currently works on an ICMR-funded project developing skill-based neuropsychological assessments for the Indian population, with a focus on individuals engaged in complex skilled occupations such as handloom weaving. Her work aims to make cognitive assessments more equitable and culturally inclusive, particularly for populations with limited access to formal education.
Previously, she worked as a Junior Research Scientist at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour, contributing to experimental research on short-term memory, perception, and visual psychophysics.
