Keerthana is a PhD student with a research focus on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in genetic presentations of frontotemporal dementia (FTD). She holds an MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience from JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru.
Her research interests lie in the clinical assessment of neurodegenerative conditions in ageing populations, with experience in using a range of neuropsychological assessment tools. She is particularly interested in the analysis of structural MRI data in individuals with FTD, with the aim of understanding disease mechanisms and heterogeneity in genetic forms of the disorder.
Through her doctoral work, she seeks to integrate neuroimaging and neuropsychological approaches to improve characterization and early identification of frontotemporal dementia.
